With the announcement of Meta and the declaration that metaverses represent the future of the Internet, hardly a week goes by without a company announcing massive investments in this sector. Many brands are organizing an activation strategy in a virtual world.
What exactly are metaverses today? What can luxury brands find there? What does venturing into this realm really involve?
That’s the subject of today’s episode: “Metaverse, a New Goldmine for Luxury Brands?"
To discuss this, I am pleased to welcome Frédéric Cavazza. Fred is the co-creator of the consultancy firm SYSK. He is a specialist in digital communication and an author in bookstores as well as on the website frecavazza.net.
He recently published a blog post in late March titled “The Growth Reservoir of the Metaverse Is Not Where You Think”. This comprehensive article resonated with us. It suggests, “Most things said about the metaverse today are fantasies. We don’t know what the future holds, so let’s talk about what can be done now.”
