Brand Strategy for Responsible Luxury: Ethical Jewelry by Courbet

Blog Image

Let’s talk brand strategy for responsible luxury with Manuel Mallen, founder of the eco-responsible jewelry house COURBET.

Times are changing. It has taken a long time, but mentalities are gradually evolving. Climate change, ecological challenges, and ethical issues are now at the heart of debates and concerns for the French population. More than ever, consumers are demanding from brands. According to a LSA study published last year, 49% of consumers reported adopting more responsible consumption behaviors in the last six months of 2021. This vigilance spans all sectors, from food brands to major retailers, hygiene products, the automotive industry, and… luxury and premium brands.

While some major houses have started implementing more responsible brand strategies (see our campaign for Chloé’s 100% natural Eau de Parfum), other luxury houses are lagging behind. This leaves room for new brands that aim to offer innovative, original products aligned with evolving consumer expectations. One such example is Maison Courbet, an unconventional jewelry house.

This is the topic of our podcast today. You are listening to the nineteenth episode of *The Expert’s Eye*, a podcast produced and hosted by the Dix Sept Paris Agency.
